Summer is in full swing and if you've been hoping to get a road trip in this season, then there's one spot that needs to be on your summer bucket list.

Just a few hours' drive from Montreal, this beautiful provincial park offers a stunning sandy shoreline and crystal-clear waters.

Here, you'll find over 2,000 meters of soft, golden sand and a charming enclosed bay, creating an ideal spot for a summer adventure.

North Beach Provincial Park is a four-hour drive from Montreal, which allows you to explore Prince Edward County — not to mention it's a short drive away from its stunning Ontario neighbour, Sandbanks.

Once there, you can take it all that the park and beach have to offer, including remarkable sights of glistening waters and over one kilometre of white sand.

While there are technically two beaches, one directly on Lake Ontario, and the other on North Bay, the bay-side is much quieter and offers a sense of tranquillity.

Visitors can swim, bird watch, fish and picnic at the beach, which means you can easily spend the entire day, weekend or your whole trip soaking up the rays at one of the most picturesque beaches Ontario has to offer.

With nearby restaurants and cafés, and a slew of hotels and summer homes to rent, you can enjoy this beachy destination solo, with the family, that special someone, or just you and the dog!
