Quebec residents can expect payments from Revenu Quebec as several benefits and credits are up for grabs this spring season.

Considering the cost of living has reached new heights across Canada, it's no surprise that many Canadians, particularly low-income Canadians, are looking for ways to supplement inflation. Luckily, the Quebec government (and Canada Revenue Agency) offers a slew of benefits for Quebecers in need.

It's important to verify your eligibility for government benefits and credits as you could be entitled to hundreds of dollars this spring. A few benefits to look into include the Quebec Pension Plan, the Family Allowance Measure and the Canada Child Benefit, to name a few.

Here's everything you need to know about which benefits and credits are being paid out this season, how much you can receive and when to expect payment.

Quebec Pension Plan

The Québec Pension Plan is a mandatory public insurance program for those 18 and older earning over $3,500 annually. It offers basic financial protection for retirement, disability, and death. It is comprised of a base plan and an additional plan, both funded by contributions from employers and employees.

The base plan provides pensions and benefits for retirement, disability, and death, while the additional plan enhances these benefits, especially for retirement and disability. Residents can refer to this table to determine exactly how much they could receive monthly.

The payment amount varies based on factors like the number of dependent children, custody arrangements, total family income, and family structure. While payments are often sent out quarterly, Quebec residents do have the option to receive monthly payments instead.
