It's no secret that Canada is home to some of the most beautiful landscapes and cities coast to coast, but the true north also boasts stunning small towns, a handful of which were recently ranked among the most charming in Canada.

Betway Insider, an online sports betting blog, dropped its list of North America's top 25 most charming small towns. Seven Canadian destinations managed to make the cut, including one right here in la belle province. In fact, only one small town in Quebec made the list.

To compile the list of most charming towns in Canada, Betway Insider ranked 70 small locations (50 in the U.S. and 20 in Canada) by their charm using six factors: Instagram search volume, positive sentiment, number of parks, landmarks, museums, and art galleries.

Whitehorse (2), Langley (3), Brockville (6), Duncan (8) and Owen Sound (9) all managed to rank high, earning spots in the top 10 of the most charming small towns in Canada.

But which Quebec destination made the cut?

Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec ranked 19th overall — making it the only Quebec small town to appear on the list. It was given an overall score of 1.537 thanks to its lush greenery and picturesque surroundings.

In fact, the city is home to countless must-visit parks and nature reserves including the Aiguebelle National Park, the Fleur d'Eau Botanical Park, and the Joannès Adventure Park, to name a few.

Truro in Nova Scotia was the only other Canadian small town to appear on the ranking, placing 14th overall.
