As summer fades to fall, it's time to start planning those autumn adventures. There are so many gorgeous spots around the province where you can find vibrant leaves, stunning trails and more.

This scenic Ontario provincial park is the place to go if you're looking for autumn splendour.

It was named one of the "best provincial parks to visit in Ontario this fall" by Destination Ontario and boasts woodlands, meadows, turquoise waters and more.

While its sandy beach and crystal waves may make it a summer hotspot, fall brings a new kind of beauty to this enchanting destination.

The woodland trails transform with shades of red and orange and the crisp, fall air is perfect for autumn hiking.

Presqu'ile Provincial Park, located near the town of Brighton, is a beautiful nature oasis. It's home to a 2.5 kilometre sandy beach as well as the second-oldest operating lighthouse in Ontario.

During the fall, the park transforms with vibrant hues and is a magical spot to enjoy the foliage.

There are 16 kilometres worth of trails that take you along shorelines and through woodlands and meadows.

The Jobes' Woods Trail is an easy, 30 minute loop that leads past towering maples and through one of the oldest deciduous woodlots at Presqu’ile.

According to the website, a favourite route for visitors is the paved one-way driving loop (Lighthouse Lane and Paxton Drive) around the peninsula, where you can enjoy some Lake Ontario views.

Another unique spot to explore is the Marsh Boardwalk, which includes over 800 meters of boardwalk that leads through the marsh as well as past two viewing platforms.

Other activities at the park include canoeing, birding and biking.

It's still early to know when to expect peak foliage at Ontario Parks, so you can keep an eye on the Fall Colour page in the meantime.
