When it comes to Canada's remarkable landscapes, food scene and friendly people, there's no denying it's easily one of the best destinations in the world, and Travel + Leisure readers would agree.

Travel + Leisure, an online travel publication, dropped its World's Best Awards and when it comes to the best cities in Canada, two Quebec spots managed to make the list.

To compile the list, Travel + Leisure asked its readers to weigh in on travel experiences around the globe and share their opinions on the top hotels, resorts, cities, islands, cruise ships, spas, airlines, and more.

Over 186,000 readers completed the 2024 survey and a total of 700,000+ votes were cast across over 8,700 properties. For the best cities ranking, Travel + Leisure used a few criteria to score some of Canada's most popular spots including sights/landmarks, culture, food, friendliness, shopping and value.

So, which two Quebec cities made the list?

The province's capital managed to come out on top, ranking number one out of five with an overall score of 86.71.

Not only was Quebec City recently ranked for having some of the most beautiful streets in the world, but it's home to the most-photographed hotel across the globe, too: Fairmont Le Château Frontenac. With so much rich history and culture, it's no surprise that la belle provinceis well worth a visit.

As for Montreal, the metropolis ranked third overall, receiving a total score of 83.01 Considering our endless choice of restaurants, summer festivities and events and a vibe that can't be found anywhere else across Canada, it's truly no surprise that Montreal is among the best spots across the country.

Victoria was the only other city to surpass Montreal on the ranking, but the 514 simply cannot compete with ocean views, mountainside landmarks and impressive wildlife.
